A successful document review depends on thorough planning that
begins long before the first document meets the eyes of an
attorney. Global Colleague was founded and is run by veterans of
the litigation support industry who have managed document
collections and reviews for some of the world's most
complex legal matters. We have managed complex projects in the
fields of anti-trust, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, employment, intellectual property, and insurance
litigation.
Our project managers have years of experience managing
discovery projects for multinational corporations and the law
firms that represent them. Our document reviewers are Indian
lawyers drawn from the best law schools in India. They are fluent
in English, received their legal training in English, and have
been subjected to the most rigorous training in the legal
outsourcing space. Many of our colleagues have specialized
knowledge and expertise to meet specific review and research
needs, such as taxation, accountancy, commerce, economics,
medical jurisprudence and forensic sciences, corporate and labor
laws, journalism, human resources, office automation, cyber law,
and information technology.
Multiple-language
Review(back to top)
Our experience in
managing a variety of entities, across multiple languages, is
unique in the LPO space. We have experience managing projects
involving multiple teams, languages, and countries and can
quickly assemble teams for Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish,
and Portuguese document review projects.
Quality
Assurance(back to top)
We maintain a team of
Quality Assurance analysts who are experienced document review
attorneys extensively trained in our stringent quality control
procedures. These teams are wholly independent from the
document review teams. Moreover, every single
reviewer receives regular quality assurance training and
each team member is empowered to report any concerns. We
ensure that our clients' supervising attorneys can easily
monitor and comment on our work. The project manager
assigned to your document review project will have excellent
communication skills and will regularly communicate with the
supervising attorneys. At the start of each project, your
project manager will work with one of our quality assurance
analysts and the client managing attorney to formalize the
document review instructions and implement a process by which we
calibrate our review team with outside counsel.
Legal Project Management (back to top)
Do not underestimate the importance of experienced legal project managers to the success of your outsourced project. The skills and experience required to manage outsourced legal work are different from those needed for non-law-related work. Experience in managing business or IT projects and processes does not always translate to success in managing outsourced legal work.
Time constraints imposed by a court-mandated discovery deadline create unique challenges. If your project manager has not been subjected to the crushing pressure of high-stakes litigation, they should not be entrusted with your legal work. Our project managers are savvy, tested legal professionals who have received intense training from U.S. barred attorneys. Every project manager with Global Colleague has managed numerous large, legal projects for U.S. law firms and corporations.
We customize our reporting and communication processes to meet the unique requirements of your project and use the latest in project management and collaboration technologies to ensure that you have secure access to up-to-the minute data on your matters. We'll keep you informed about your project's status by whatever means you prefer, whether that be e-mailed reports, on-line team sites, WAP pages for your smart phone, instant messages, faxed updates, daily conference calls, or any combination of the above.
We cultivate a work ethic and esprit de corps that makes your problems our challenges to solve. This deep legal project management team is the key to managing projects across multiple languages in different countries. |
